Episode 4: Our remembering teachers Episode

Greetings fellow Sackvillians and friends of Sackville!

Welcome to Episode 4 of Stories from Sackville.

We pause to remember our friend and classmate Jeff Vey who passed away just before we recorded this episode. Rest in Peace Jeff (November 26, 1967 - November 10, 2018)

Today’s episode was suggested by Blair Faulkner (thanks, Blair!). It is also timely due to the death of former teacher Paul Mason (January 3, 1944 - November 3, 2018). Some embarrassing incidents from the past (especially Steve’s) come to light (honestly, he DID ask others if the blade was on correctly – they LIED to him – jerks).

We begin at Caudle Park Elementary, moved through Sidney Stephen and A.J. Smeltzer Junior Highs, and to Sackville High. We remember all these teachers with fondness (flawed though they were) and hope we conveyed that tone.

As always, we hope that this stimulates more discussion, so we encourage you all to post your stories about your favourite teachers and your favourite stories on the Facebook page.

And, as always, thanks to all of you who have commented so far.
