Episode 1: Our Introductory Episode

Hello and welcome to the Stories from Sackville podcast.

We're two 50-something dudes who sit around, drink Scotch (mostly), and talk about what it was like growing up in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, during the 1970s and the 1980s. Both of us are children of the 70s and teens of the 80s.

It seems like a world away today. It was a time before podcasts, a time before the internet, heck, a time even before computers. When we wanted to play video games, we actually had to go to a video arcade (Video Zone in the Downsview Mall), pump quarters into a large machine, and stand up to play the game.

A lot of the places we haunted are gone now, but we remember them and feel it's important enough to record these memories before they are lost. We'll discuss the television shows, the movies, the music, and the events that helped to shape our generation of Sackvillians

It was a bizarre and amazing time, and we hope you to join us as we reminisce about a bygone era, either to recapture some of your lost youth or to learn what it was like to live in a certain place at a certain time. Lower Sackville in the 1970s and 1980s
