Episode 18: Our NewMusic Magazine episode

Greetings fellow Sackvillians and friends of Sackville!

Welcome to Episode 18 of Stories from Sackville.

In this episode we talk mullets, leather jackets, and U2 in a Harvey's!

Yes, we revisit the early careers of JD Roberts and Jeanne Beker. Today's topic is The NewMusic (yes, they spelled it that way - it was hip!) Magazine. We do stray into Much Music and MTV as well.

Steve drops an Aristotle reference which makes Peter remember something he learned about in university. Steve also name drops Oliver Rockside (and recommends his podcast) and Dave Brodbeck.

As always, we hope that this stimulates more discussion, so we encourage you all to tell us, on the Facebook page, what are some of your memories of the NewMusic and MUCH? Let us know.

And, as always, thanks to all of you who have commented so far.

You can e-mail us with questions, suggestions, or comments at: storiesfromsackville@gmail.com.

Peter and Steve

Intro music:    The Moody Blues:                       "Your Wildest Dreams"
